Graduate Member
This membership category is open to the following:
Those who have completed a BASRaT-approved undergraduate programme and who fulfil the following
requirements in order to maintain current membership i.e.
hold a current "appointed persons" first aid level; to include CPR
have achieved ongoing BASRaT CPD requirements
Individuals who have graduated from other programmes may be eligible for membership
if it can be ascertained that their studies have provided adequate and equivalent levels
of study to Sport Rehabilitator Role Delineation, and that they have, where appropriate,
maintained adequate levels of CPD within their ongoing professional practice since
graduation. (These requirements are documented elsewhere).

Graduate Allied Health Professional
This membership category is open to the following:
Those who have completed a BASRaT-approved undergraduate programme and who are also qualified and appropriately insured as an allied health professional (e.g. Physiotherapist). This category will include all entitlements of full graduate membership (i.e. use of the initials GSR) but excludes Malpractice and Public Liability insurance through BASRaT.
These members will also have to fulfil the following
requirements in order to maintain current membership i.e.
hold a current "appointed persons" first aid level; to include CPR
have achieved ongoing BASRaT CPD requirements

Non-practising Graduate
This membership category is open to the following:
Individuals who have been full, practising members of BASRaT who wish to take a
career break or for any other reason no longer wish to practise as a Graduate Sport
Rehabilitator.
This is advised for members who ceased to practise in order to provide a run-off cover
for their previous work (as at 2010 previous insurance taken up with BASRaT ensures 36 months run off if you choose this option).
Membership benefits include:
- Access to membership section on web-site (including course listings, job advertisements, Newsletter and professional information)
- Reduced entry fee for Annual Symposium and Annual General Meeting
- Administrative support and advice on professional issues, including Continuing Professional Development
- Sport-Ex Journal; ONLINE access to Sport Ex Dynamic and Sport Ex Medicine
Associate Member
This membership category is open to the following:
Graduates of programmes not approved by BASRaT but who are working in fields related to Sport
Rehabilitation e.g. Physiotherapy, Sport Science, Sports Medicine.
This category excludes professional liability insurance cover and associate members are not
eligible to vote.
Benefits of Associate Membership include:

- Sport-Ex Journal; ONLINE access to Sport Ex Dynamic and Sport Ex Medicine
- Reduced entry fee for Symposium associated with Annual General Meeting

Associate members are not obliged to adhere to the BASRaT Rules of Professional Conduct but are expected to observe them.
This category does not include Malpractice and Public Liability Insurance
Affiliate Members
This membership category is open to the following:
Individuals who have an interest in Sport Rehabilitation who do not possess a degree level qualification in this field, and do not qualify as an associate or student member.
Affiliate members are not eligible to vote.

- Reduced entry fee for Symposium associated with Annual General Meeting

Student Member
This membership category is open to the following:
Students studying currently full and part-time on undergraduate or postgraduate
programmes in Sport Rehabilitation accredited by BASRaT.
Benefits of Student Membership include:
- Option for malpractice insurance for massage (not included in annual fee to BASRaT)
- Access to membership section on web-site (including course listings, job advertisements, Newsletter and professional information)
- Reduced entry fee for Annual AGM and Symposium
- Free online access to Sport Ex Student (relevant for year of study)
- Access to BASRaT products
This category has an option to include Malpractice and Public Liability Insurance for massage only - students must contact BASRaT directly for this additional fee.
