Search the BASRaT Register

You can use our search tool to check whether a Sport Rehabilitator is registered with us.

Graduate (REH) and Allied Health Professional (AHP) members appear on our register. Being “active” on the register means a person has:

  • Met the requirements for initial entry to the register, and

  • has maintained their registration and been compliant with our standards.

  • In the case of Graduate members (REH registration number) it means they are covered by the Professional Liability Insurance block policy held by BASRaT.

You can search using a person’s. name, registration number and location.

The register will display the following information: Full name, Registration Number, Registration Status, Location (Town/City) and he details of any disciplinary concerns.

The Register Check may also display people who were previously registered with BASRaT. Where a person's registration has lapsed or they have withdrawn from the register at their own request, their previous registration status will remain visible for two years. After this period, they will no longer appear in a standard search of the public Register Check.

Glossary of Terms

Registrant - a Graduate or Allied Health Professional member of BASRaT who is “active” on the register.

Registration Statuses - you will see the below terms used to describe the status of people on the register.

  • Active - this person is on the register. This means they initially met the criteria for registration and have maintained their registration by remaining compliant with our standards. Any restrictions on the persons practise will be detailed under the “Disciplinary Details” section of their register entry.

  • Suspended - this person's registration is currently suspended. They are not permitted to practise as a BASRaT-registered Sport Rehabilitator for the duration of the suspension. Further information will be displayed where required under BASRaT's Fitness to Practise procedures and publication policy.

  • Lapsed - this person was previously registered with BASRaT but did not complete their annual registration renewal. We display the details of people whose registration has lapsed within the past two years. After this period, they are no longer displayed on the public Register Check.

  • Withdrawn by request - this person submitted an application to be voluntarily removed from the register. We only display the details of registrants who have withdrawn in the past two years (calculated from 31/01). Registrants who withdrew more than two years ago are not publicly displayed.

  • Removed by FtP panel - this person has been removed from the BASRaT register following a decision by a Fitness to Practise Panel. Further information about the decision will be published in accordance with BASRaT's Fitness to Practise procedures and publication policy.

Graduate member - a person who has met our standards for entry to the register as a graduate member - outlined below.

Allied Health Professional member - a person who has met the same standards for entry to the register as a graduate member but who is also registered elsewhere as an Allied Health Professional (e.g. also a HCPC registered physiotherapist).

Criteria for initial entry to the register - the person has:

  • Completed a BASRaT accredited degree.

  • Passed the BASRaT registration exam.

  • Completed a minimum of 400-hours of supervised clinical practise before registration.

  • Completed an approved pre-hospital immediate care qualification.

  • Been signed-off as Fit to Practise by the programme lead from their University.

  • Completed a declaration regarding their Fitness to Practise, including disclosure of cautions and convictions.

  • Agreed to practise in accordance with the BASRaT standards of ethical conduct and behaviour.

  • Paid the registration fee.

Criteria for maintenance of registration - the person has, on a yearly basis:

  • Been compliant with the Continued Professional Development (CPD) (continuing education) requirements.

  • Maintained a pre-hospital immediate care / first-aid qualification appropriate to their role.

  • Reconfirmed their agreement to practise in accordance with the BASRaT standards of ethical conduct and behaviour.

  • Completed a declaration regarding their Fitness to Practise, including disclosure of cautions and convictions.

  • Completed their yearly registration renewal and paid the registration renewal fee.
