International awards for Sport Rehabilitators

David Hartley and Beth Jefferies have both been recognised by Sport Rehab’s International Association – WFATT.

The International WFATT awards celebrate the dedication, expertise, and impact of Sport Rehabilitators and athletic trainers around the world. Our two award winners are:

David Hartley - David is Head of Academy Performance at Celtic FC and has over ten years Sport Rehab experience in professional Football.  David has also researched and published on his specialism of maturation and development of young athletes.

David was featured in a CSP article that demonstrated a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation at a St. Mirren Football club and has published on maturation. The article, podcast and research paper can be accessed through links below .

David Hartley is a Sport Rehabilitator, with an MSc in Strength & Conditioning, he has worked in professional football at senior and academy level in the English Championship, Premier League and UEFA Champions League and has an interest in adolescent development and it’s implications on injury risk and physical performance.

Beth Jefferies

Sport Rehabber, Beth is a rehab superstar - she works as a Sport Rehabber in three different roles: Major Trauma Advisor for the NHS; Elite Rugby rehabber private clinic owner. Beth has extensive experience in Sport and private practice and is now a Major Trauma Advisor in London Hospitals, working alongside the NHS.

She says her current role has been nothing short of incredible.” Rehab isn’t just about recovery in the clinical sense; it’s about rebuilding confidence, identity, independence, and hope.

Every person deserves holistic care, and I’m committed to ensuring we support every aspect of our patients’ lives — physical, emotional, social, and everything in between

Beth also works in Elite rugby with Rugby 7s, at the highest level of the game. She has supported elite rugby teams on the international stage and is working with the All Blacks and the Springboks during the Autumn Internationals, further showcasing her expertise and experience within the sport. Beth also treats private clients in her own clinic.
